Busiest day so far

I have never done that many dishes in my entire life...Mountains of trays & dishes...I mean I don't mind doing it but they are really killing my hands...

I consider today is the busiest day, so far...The business was too good until we found out we were running out of chicken tenders and fries! I wish I could snap a photo of the super long guest queue, they kept coming in until we have no time to grab a bite of the unwanted food and there's only me & Terrance, a new 20 year old workmate I met today. He's a fast learner and we work perfectly fine together...sometimes me alone at the front while he get the stocks from the back, or the other way round...that's how we handle it :)

A lot of things went wrong today and again, my supervisor Charity thought I was the one who screwed things up (as usual even though it wasn't me). Thanks to Terrance, he helped me and backed me up by telling the TRUTH. Charity was yelling at me in front of the guests and she felt embarrassed for many times when she found out everything she thought I did wrong, was RIGHT! Anyway, I still think Charity is not a bad person. She's just take things too seriously, most of the time I would say.

I had lunch with Marie today, and I asked her how many kids she has. She has 3 from first marriage, 2 from second marriage and 2 adopted CHINESE LOOKING daughters. Why did I bother to ask about the kids? Because I met her with one of her Chinese looking daughter the other day at the Wal*Mart, and I wondered whether her husband is an Asian.

Lunch with Marie, I had a hamburger & a medium coke ($1.99)...

As we chat along Fay joined in. She asked whether I could help to get her two Halloween Party tickets for her grandchildren, as every employees get their ticket for free and are allowed to bring 3 extra friends ($4 each). So I did it for her immediately as I'm efficient and she was so happy and thanked me many times, she said I need not use my break time to get her the tickets but another day, I just don't mind.

I'm going to the Halloween Party, my very first Halloween Party in USA!
By the way, this is the current condition of my neck...Itchy!And...how am I gonna walk tomorrow? Sigh...

Don't worry, I'm happy

Believe me, I'm brilliant!

I worked for another 9 hours even the park closed at 8p.m today, Haha...I talked to the head supervisor last night and requested for working earlier and I was allowed to go at 10.30a.m. :)

I was almost late again due to some reasons, people just don't learn the importance of punctuality but what can I say? Lucky enough that I wasn't late today.

So I got into BEER GARDEN with the help of Roy, another supervisor for food department (also the self-claimed Clay Aiken). He's a fun guy and he can actually sing! I needed him to open the door for me because Charity wasn't there yet. And I got myself something to do before Charity arrived.

Preparing the hamburger buns
American cheese to be served with the hamburger
Preparing the food is a typical thing to do during the weekends and I like it very much. From preparing to serving, I'm happy with everything! Especially when I get to eat the leftover, muahaha...

I forgot to take a picture of the carved turkey I made last night, and it looks and taste real good. But, things aren't always perfect as it seems. There are 3 customers who ordered the carved turkey on roll complained to Charity because the gravy was served cold. I didn't know it was cold as I wasn't THE ONE who prepared the gravy and did not turn on the switch to heat it up.

I had serious gastric today because I think I missed the proper eating time. I went for my lunch break at 3.45p.m and I had my packed sandwich & fruits. :) I saw my supervisors but I choose to sit alone because I wanted a time to be totally alone, then Alex and Phil came to sit with me but that's fine with me.

Here's Alex, helpful and responsible guy. He's nice!
This is Forrest, not Phil because Phil left earlier. Forrest is very friendly but shy boi...

The both of them: seems like Forrest loves taking picture while Alex trying to get out of the pictureOh, I met a new workmate today. His name is Justin, a catholic from the New York City and he's only 17 and study at the Queensbury High School. But Gracie Ho (my 10 yr old cousin) said he looks like 25.

Justin, the bad boi who accused me and put a lot of ice into my shirt. I gave him an ice facial treatment in GOOD return.

We took a picture together when we're 'fren' to each other
He's a super lazy boi, only wants to eat the leftover and go home early. I like his lanyard though.
I'm so upset when Abigail told me when my supervisor asked where I went while I was doing the dishes at the back, Justin answered that I went outside somewhere and he did not know what I was doing. And he's the one who asked me to do the dishes. I'll make sure I do something to him next week if I see him back in BEER GARDEN again... And, I'm the one helping all of them to earn the hours while they were so happily standing outside discussing about tattoos! I hate tattoos! Hate lazy American boi like Justin!

Anyway, I had 1/2 of hamburger without the bun, 1/2 of the chicken strips, 1/2 of German potato salad and 1/4 of peanut butter cake for my dinner, for FREE! Yay!

Happy working day

Outfit for the day: Free dress code (as it is not weekend so we're not required to wear the BRIGHT uniform)

Yet, I bought the GREAT ESCAPE sweater today and will be deducted from my paycheck. I got no choice, it's compulsory.

Back to work today. Abigail & I worked at the Backstage with an old lady called Fay. She taught us to cut & wrap the brownies & the cookies as well. Below are the pictures of the brownies & cookie for this weekend.

Cutting the brownies

Wrapped brownies

We were told that if we failed to cut the brownies into even size, the 'mistakes' we made, what we gonna do?

Guess what, Fay asked us to eat our 'mistakes'. We were so happy and more than willing to make mistakes and eat up the uneven brownies. Haha...They were so yummy! Same goes for the cookies but the cookies are way too sweet. Fay said and warned, isn't that shameful that you make mistakes? Well, who cares? We want the brownies! lolz...Well, very little mistakes we actually made. :)

Wrapping the cookies

Before break time, we dropped by the Cold Stone and saw David doing something with the green apples.

Holy molly, green apple with candy? Taste weird and I prefer only the green apple.

Then, we headed for the Bavarian Palace (a German restaurant that serves beer!) and prepare the hot dog bun tidily for tomorrow's sales. The best thing here isn't about doing the job, it's about the chat with Fay. It's rather good to work with her than Ms Charity. I prefer to work at the Backstage with Fay now. Bye bye Beer Garden!

Still, I had to get back to the Beer Garden tomorrow, I guess so. I'm very happy that today before I left the park, Fay was holding my hands and asked me to work with her this Sunday at the Backstage. I would love to! I hope to get more hours working at the Backstage, earn more!

And I got my first paycheck today! Yay!

Visiting Lake George

Hey hey, sorry for the late updates. I have been to busy and tired these two days.

So, the other day I paid a visit to the Lake George with Abigail. We took a $1 bus to Lake George but we spent $12 for return because we missed the bus and we took a cab. So stupid right?

Woke up very early in the morning, so reluctantly...Go!

Waiting for bus @ 830a.m. *yawn*

Finally, I get to taste the McDonald Breakfast in America!

In the bus, on the way to Lake George

So what is Lake George all about? You read it yourself. All I know is that it takes me 1 1/2 hour walking distance, 1/2 hour by cab or bus...Far!

Such a beautiful view, we spent almost an hour snapping photos

Walking along the Lake George

Can any dog expert tells me what type of dogs are they?

I picked a nice postcard, and I sent it back home. Brother asked me why do I want to do that? May be it's kinda old-fashioned, but I think this is something that I must do because I'm not gonna visit Lake George again after this. So, have you guys received my postcard yet? :)

Back home, so tired already. Yet, still wanna snap some pictures of my new cap. Muahahahaha....Enjoy it!
